Where is the office located? Or are you virtual?

I have a Neligh, NE office 760 E Hwy 275 Neligh, NE and a Creighton Office on Main street 712 Main Street, Creighton, NE. I offer telehealth services or online therapy throughout the state of Nebraska.

What are your office hours?

I have two office locations. My hours vary depending on which office I'm in. I know a month in advance which office and timeframe is available. I allow for flexibility to meet clients in both areas.

How long is a typical session?

A session can last 30 minutes to an hour. Family session can go longer.

What do I do to get started and make an appointment?

Contact the office and I will walk through the process of gathering initial demographic information and getting setup on Simple Practice App. The app you can complete paperwork.

What is the hourly fee?

A private pay session hourly fee is $200.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept Medicaid: Ambetter, Nebraska Total Care, & Molina,

I accept Blue Cross Blueshield

I accept Private Pay

What is a free initial phone consultation?

I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about the process or the types of modalities I incorporate into session. Typically, I will talk with a client over phone or Telehealth and discuss the process in a fifteen minute consultation.

What is the age range of your clients?

I see clients from age five to age 64. Young child, pre-teen, teen, adolescent, early adulthood and into middle adulthood.

What can I expect in the first session?

Our first session will consist of an Initial Diagnostic Interview. ADDRESSED BELOW.

What is therapy like with you?

I am an open book and want to make sure I understand the style or approach you prefer in therapy sessions. I am learning about yourself just as you are learning about my approach in therapy. I often have conversation of comfortability and where therapy is going.

How long will I be in therapy?

The determination of how long therapy will be for an individual depends on the severity of the issue the client is wanting to work on. A client may want to focus on trauma and can spend months focusing on that area. Some clients will spend three months in therapy, others can be years, depending on what client presents with.

Do you offer video or phone sessions?

I offer telehealth sessions through an app called Simple Practice. Due to HIPPA reasons, a phone call has to consist of video and audio chat.

How do I know if you are the right therapist for me?

I understand having a good fit as a therapist is important to sharing your story. If we are not a good match, I’m happy to have that conversation to see if there are things I can improve. I’m happy to give referrals or suggestions to better fit your needs.

How does it work? What do I have to do in sessions?

To get started, we complete initial paperwork. Setup our first appointment and complete an Initial Diagnostic Interview. This is asking questions about family, education, medical, legal, and mental health history. Also what is bringing you in for therapy. From that interview, we talk about goals for therapy.

Are you a Christian counselor?

I can see clients who are wanting a religious approach in their sessions.

Is our work confidential?

Everything we talk about is kept confidential. The only time confidentiality is not adhered to is if you are suicidal and abusing to others.

How long have you been in practice?

I have been practicing since September 2020.

Do you prescribe medications?

No, only a medical doctor or Psychiatrist prescribes.

What is the difference between a psychotherapist and a psychiatrist?

I would change to Psychologist versus Psychotherapist. Psychiatrist is a medical doctor specializing in mental health. Psychiatrist prescribes anti-psychotic medication and does medication management.

A psychologist completes evaluation and diagnostic criteria for Diagnosis such as ADHD.

Below a Psychologist is LIMHP’s and LICSW’s known as counselor and therapist.

Are you licensed?

Yes, I’m provisionally Licensed, PLMHP, PMSW, PLADC

Do you take notes?

Yes for trauma therapy if I need to and Initial Diagnostic Interview or Treatment Plan Review.
