Philosophy & Approach
My therapeutic approach integrates neuroscience and physiological insights, recognizing that healing often involves more than traditional talk therapy. I am deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel held and empowered as they navigate life’s challenges.

Personal Commitment
As a lifelong learner, I am committed to staying current with the latest advancements and best practices in the field of mental health. My mission is to bring hope, healing, and optimism to every client’s journey, helping them take the next step toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
I specialize in trauma modalities and integrate a different type of therapy space from being with the parts of self that are wounded, to immersing yourself in the world of sand tray to create an environment feel in control of. To begin noticing what its like to feel tension, shifts, and emotions flare up. To shifting gears in state of tranquility and those parts of your needs are finally met..... A sense of healing begins. Trauma therapy of Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing, Ego state work, and Eye movement desensitization reprocessing is a whole new experience to walk into.

About Me
I am a lifelong Nebraskan, born and raised in the Northeast part of Nebraska. Growing up on a farm, I developed a strong connection to agriculture and rural life—a connection that continues to enrich my life today. I reside with my partner, Cody on a farm and our two very young sons. Our farm is also home to a variety of therapeutic animals, including miniature horses, cats, dogs, and ducks which contribute to the peaceful, nurturing environment I cherish.
Professionally, I am the owner and operator of Next Step Counseling, LLC, located in Neligh, Nebraska. I am a Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, Provisional Certified Master Social Worker, and Provisional Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, holding three provisional licenses in total. I offer tele-health and In person sessions.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Denver in August 2020 and previously completed a Master of Science degree from the University of South Dakota in 2017.
I bring over five years of clinical experience, having worked in private practice settings. I also bring experience from non-profit mental health agencies and residential treatment centers.
